Pheromones are chemicals we use on a subtle level to communicate and emit smells to attract mates, and though technically not pheromones, humans do also produce natural smells from bacteria growth on our skin. Pheromones are substances which are secreted to the outside by an individual and received by a second individual of the same species.

Pheromones may be present in all bodily secretions but most of it is exuded thru axillary sweat which contains the odorous 16-androstenes. 16-androstene pheromones, in particular androstadienone, play a beneficial role in women’s mood, focus and sexual response, and perhaps also in mate selection. This field actually empowers the hormones androstenone and androstenol, which give off scents that may attract others. This advacned field boosts the steroidal compounds, androstadienone, exuding them in much higher concentrations thru sweat.
